This Privacy Policy applies to the website treeinspired.com and all software applications published by treeinspired GmbH, including but not limited to Kompendium, Dockti, ICD-10, ProxyButler, Read, Screenshotli, IKT-Minimalstandard, and Cyber Security Awareness (collectively "Services").
When you visit our website, our web server automatically collects technical data such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamp. This data is used solely for operating the website and ensuring its security. Server log files are deleted after 30 days.
Our applications may collect anonymous usage statistics (e.g., app version, operating system version, crash reports) to improve quality and stability. This data cannot be attributed to individual users. You may opt out of crash reporting in the app settings where available.
Some applications use Apple iCloud to synchronize your settings and data across your devices. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
When you contact us by email, we store your email address and message content to process your inquiry. This data is deleted once your request has been handled and no statutory retention obligation applies.
Payments for our applications are processed exclusively through Apple's App Store or our payment partners. We do not collect, process, or store credit card numbers, bank account details, or other payment information. Transaction records (purchase date, product, amount) may be retained for accounting and tax purposes as required by Swiss law.
Screenshotli is a screenshot-capture utility that requires the macOS Screen Recording permission to function. This permission is used solely to capture still images of the user's screen that the user explicitly initiates — a selected region, a full display, a single application window, or a preset-sized region. Screenshotli does not record video, does not record audio, and does not perform any continuous or background recording.
The pixel content of each captured still image is treated as the user's own document. It is shown to the user in the in-app annotation editor and may, at the user's choice, be copied to the system clipboard or saved as a file. All captured images are stored exclusively on the user's local device — in the user's chosen save folder (default ~/Pictures/Screenshotli/) and in Screenshotli's local history at ~/Library/Application Support/Screenshotli/. Captured images are retained on the device until the user deletes them. Screenshotli does not transmit captured images or any other screen-recording data to treeinspired GmbH, to Apple, or to any third party. There is no network upload, no cloud sync, no telemetry of image content, and no analytics SDK that has access to captured pixels.
IKT-Minimalstandard collects no data whatsoever. The app makes no network requests, contains no analytics, telemetry or crash-reporting component, and requires no account. The anonymous usage statistics described in section 3.2 therefore do not apply to it.
Your assessment — ratings, comments, organisation name and contact details — is stored exclusively in the app's local storage on your device and is never transmitted to treeinspired GmbH or to any third party. Reports and backup files are created on the device and are shared only where and when you explicitly choose to share them. Purchases are handled by Apple as described in section 3.5; we receive no personal data from them.
Cyber Security Awareness collects no data whatsoever. The app makes no network requests, contains no analytics, telemetry or crash-reporting component, and requires no account or login. The anonymous usage statistics described in section 3.2 therefore do not apply to it.
The entire course catalogue is contained in the app itself. Your learning progress — completed lessons, exam results, security-check answers and the audience and region you selected — is stored exclusively in a local file on your device and is never transmitted to treeinspired GmbH or to any third party. The certificate of participation is generated on the device and is shared only where and when you explicitly choose to share it. Purchases are handled by Apple as described in section 3.5; we receive no personal data from them.
